Here are some practical, down-to-earth actions that almost anyone can get started on at almost any time. I generally find that things occurring lower in the list (i.e., #1, 2, 3, etc) are more concrete and immediately useful while those further up the list require more effort, energy and awareness.

1. Smile. Feeling happy makes you smile. Try smiling to make you feel happy.

 

Deep Breathing2. Breathe Deeply. A relaxed state is less compatible with unhappy feelings.
